High School Students Headed for College and Work!

Tuesday, January 10, 2006 marked the beginning of the spring semester. This year a new group of students explored for the first time the St. Petersburg College Clearwater Campus. As participants of the Executive Internship Program (EIP) under the leadership of Dr. Mary Black of the Pinellas County School System, students are exposed to hosts of opportunities that includes dual college enrollment and the opportunities to work as an intern in their field of interest.

While this group was much smaller than the previous group of 135 students who attended last semester’s library instruction, they were still just as excited. Librarians Janice Hall and Antoinette Caraway have been team teaching the EIP students’ regularly scheduled library instructions each semester for several years! While these visitations are usually held in a large classroom on campus, this particular group was privileged to actually experience their library instruction and orientation all within our library campus faculties.
