SPC Music Theatre Production of Kiss Me, Kate
Kiss Me, Kate was first performed in 1949 winning numerous Tony Awards including Best Musical. It was revised for production in 1999. This is a play within a play based on the Shakespeare play 'The Taming of the Shrew.' The main actors are a former husband and wife who haven't quite fallen out of love. What transpires are a series of misadventures including a misunderstanding which facilitates a visit from a couple of good hearted mobsters. Come and share in this delightful story and the wonderful music of Cole Porter.
