Celebrate National Poetry Month

Did you know that April is National Poetry Month? This is a great time to celebrate and appreciate poetry!

Here are some great ways to exercise your poetic muscles:

-Come to the Seminole Campus Poetry Open Mic on Wednesday, April 27th at 12:30 in UP 303. You can share your original poem or read one of your favorites. Special guest singer-poet Guianna Brantly will be performing some exciting selections.

-
Explore Poets.org, the Academy of American Poets, official page for Poetry Month.

-Sign up for the National Poetry Month Twitter feed: http://twitter.com/POETSorg. Every day in April a guest poet is using the Twitter account to send out their thoughts and insights for the day.

-Check out a book of poetry at your campus library.

Some titles to try:
