Ask-a-Librarian in Facebook

The popular Ask-a-Librarian reference service is now available within the St. Petersburg College Library’s Facebook Page, which is located at facebook.com/spclibrary!  You do not need to be logged in to Facebook to use the service; simply select the Ask-a-Librarian tab (see below screenshot).

Then select the chat with a librarian, the text us option, or choose a local library to chat directly with an SPC librarian to get your questions answered quickly and with authority!

Free Microsoft Software for Students

SPC students can download Microsoft Office software for FREE. Log in to MySPC and look for the Download Microsoft Software link under My Resources. The free software, for both Windows and Mac, includes Word, PowerPoint, Outlook with Business Contact Manager, Excel, OneNote, Access and more.

The free software is available to all degree- and certificate-seeking students.

President Obama speaking at SPC

President Barack Obama will be speaking at St. Petersburg College on Saturday, two days after his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention.

Obama will appear at the college's Seminole campus, on Natural Habitat Park Field. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for entrance. One ticket per person will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

To pick up a ticket, visit one of the following locations beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday:

• 951 Central Ave. Suite B, St. Petersburg.

• 6537 Park Blvd., Pinellas Park.

• 225 West Bay Drive, Largo.

• 820 Drew St., Clearwater.

• 1702 N 14th St., Tampa.

• St. Petersburg College Seminole Campus, University Partnership Center.

• 9200 113th St. North, Seminole.
