Stay connected to the library with the SPC Library Online Toolbar!

The Library Online toolbar searches our entire Library Online website, Google Scholar, and other search engines and provides valuable library links, selected RSS feeds, and important library messages. A great feature is that you will never need to download and install another version of the toolbar because any changes to it will automatically be updated. Visit http://www.spcollege.edu/SPG/WSPCL/toolbar.html for more information.

I hope you find it useful and please let me know if we should add a particular resource to the toolbar.

I use it often to get to the library catalog. Just curious...why did you include Wikipedia on the toolbar?

Re: Wikipedia. Since students and facutly use Wikipedia every day (usually before using our library resources), I thought including a JavaScript search feature on the toolbar could be an excellent teaching opportunity. I mention Wikipedia in my library classes and I explain why one would NOT use/cite it as a resource in a college-level research paper and why one should be extremely critical of any information found there. So, I added a mouse-over on the toolbar that says "Remember Wikipedia entries can be added/edited by anyone, so be critical of any resource found at the web site. Wikipedia is a decent resource that can provide general overviews on a topic. Important: you will NOT want to use/cite a source from Wikipedia in a research paper. For more information ask a librarian."
