More than 850 graduates crossed the stage at Tropicana Field on Saturday morning during the historic 112th SPC Commencement ceremony. The count was up from last May, when there were 765. Before that, the spring 2008 record was 653.
This graduation was host to many firsts:
- » The highest number of graduating students
» The first ceremony over which President Tom Furlong presided
» The ceremony was broadcast live for the first time on C-SPAN
» The commencement address was the first delivered by Nicole Stott, an SPC alumnus who is an astronaut.
