Gutenberg:The Audio Books Project

Project Gutenberg makes audio eBooks available for some of the same great literature available in plain text. I am thrilled because I was able to download a human-read version of Beowulf and play it on my iPod! Other MP3 players work too because the audio files are not protected via Digital Rights Management and other mechanisms. In other words, these titles are in the public domain! .m4b, .mp3, .ogg and a variety of other file extensions are available for free download at:
